Why Did the Teacher Slap Me

I was studying in the 6th standard in the village school

One lazy afternoon in the class, the teacher walked in and everyone stood up in respect. Even before the class settled down the teacher signaled me to go towards him.

Though i was a back bencher , i went to him like an obedient pet as he was famous for slapping students. But deep in my mind I always wondered how it felt to be slapped by someone.

My curiosity kept on increasing as i went near him and as soon as my face was at a reachable distance. His hand went up in the air and it reached out to my soft lower ear lobe and like a professional he started squeezing it . I felt of myself as a chewing gum for a few moments.

When he did a few rounds and i had seen enough of butterflies, he told me to go back. As i was going back, i felt like a celebrity as almost a 100 eyes were fixed on me of the classmates

I reached my bench and i was still wondering why it all happened, i couldn’t help but smile while sitting down.

Even before my bums could touch the bench, the teacher gave me yet another signal to go to back to him. This time around i was very confident of the reason and walked up to him in speed and as soon as i reached the distance of his arm span, everything started slowing down.

His hand swung up in the air like a baseball racket and with the perfection of a pro it landed right in the middle of my face, home-run!

It was because of him i realized law of attraction is real ,whether it is for a good or a bad thing.

I am sure he only had the best of intentions, but out of the deep respect we had for teachers in the village none of us students could ask him for the reason. Among all my other teachers , I wish him a great Teacher’s Day. We always learn from them.

May be this is why they say, experience is best teacher ,as even after 25 years of that incident i am still wondering why it all happened..

Can you help me with a guess..?

I live with my parents

No matter how good you are with parents

There is always a level higher

I recently saw a poster where Christiano Ronaldo expressed his great love for his mother and said he will always keep his mother with him , regardless of his fame and busy travels.

For a celebrity of that stature these are beautiful words and a great expression of love and humility before his mother

Recently, I Saw a greater expression of love when I asked one of my successful friends as a passing question, “oh so your parents live with you ..?”

He immediately corrected me and said , “No I live with my parents , I wouldn’t have been here if not for them “

Even though his parents were depending on him, he gave them the credit and chose to express his dependence on them.

So there is always a level, up.

No matter how good you are with parents

There is always a level, higher

Be a Worthy CEO – A Unique Conversation.

A conversation from my yet to be published book “Spiritual Salesman

Spiris: Oh! You are the CEO , You must be really busy then

CEO: Ofcourse, its a heavy job

Spiris: I always wanted to know , how do you manage all these tasks

like breathing, heart beats, digestion, blood circulation ..etc so efficiently everyday

CEO: No those are operational stuff, i have an Attendant to take care of it and

as the CEO, I have more important things to work on.

Spiris: Such as ..?

CEO: Such as whom to Marry, What to eat, whom to worship , when to sleep etc.

Spiris: Oh! I never knew this, you must be paying the Attendant heavily then

CEO: No, he works for free.

Spiris: How about other benefits. you must be offering something irresistable

CEO: No, i don’t even buy him food, nor does he leave work for a day

Spiris: I can assume, even if he takes off for a minute we won’t be having this discussion

I would love to meet such a great soul, what’s his name by the way?

CEO: To be honest, i don’t even know his name, nor do I know how his whereabouts

Spiris : Do you know how long he will be with you, like do you have any contract with him ?

CEO: I don’t know, he is just like a guest serving me on a proactive basis , he can leave anytime and I have no control over it

Spiris : Then you must take very good care of such a selfless attendant and pay him back somehow

CEO: I don’t know how to do that , I never thought about him this way. Can you please advise?

Spiris: I am no one to advise, however at the bare minimum be thankful to Him and be a worthy CEO to such a great Attendant.

( The CEO in the story refers to your conscious mind/nafs and the Attendant refers to the Soul/subconscious mind/ Rooh)

Words That Produce Fruits!

The seeds you randomly threw as a child grew up to be big trees and now you enjoy the fruits without realizing those are of your own doing. Some sweet, and some sour..

Similarly you might never realize the depression of your wife, resignation of your employees, divorce of your friends or achievements of your kids.. etc are fruits of your own words which were discharged carelessly while speaking.

My Sales Interview: Where did the 4Ps hide?

Photo by Andrea Piacquadio on Pexels.com

Holding my Marketing MBA marks card in hand, she asked me in the sales interview what are the 4 Ps of marketing ?

To her surprise my answer was “I don’t know “

She was like “ Is this marks card with First class scores real? How come you don’t know the 4Ps“?

As if nothing unusual happened, I told her “If you put me in front of the clients, I know how to sell and they never ask for the 4Ps.”

That day I realized knowledge of marketing is not as important as the application of it😜

I was still thinking where did the 4Ps hide while walking back with the offer!

Keep the Husband at Home..

LUST

Spiris invited one of his teachers and an old fiend to his office, to chit chat and also with a hidden intention of arranging a free motivational session for his team.

Things didn’t quite turn out to be as expected as the whole team was given an unanticipated speech on a personal topic by this rebellious teacher.

He said our world is crowded with motivational speakers, so allow me be to be my ordinary self and share a few things about life itself.

Among the various things he taught us i am just sharing a point that struck me the most

He said, A Man assumes four major roles in his life

  1. Father
  2. Brother
  3. Son
  4. Husband

Assume any role of your choice, but when you go out, do not take the Husband with you. So that all the women other than your wife experience only the Father, Brother or Son in you.

And there comes the inquisitive colleague’s question, how about women?.

“Keep the desirous WIFE at home” !

Is He Not Capable

A lesson from a recent story The Spiritual Salesman heard from his Mentor..

humility

Whenever you come across one who is less fortunate than yourself in wealth, health, knowledge or spirituality. Before you look down upon his wretchedness. Ponder on the following questions.

  1. Is God not Capable of pulling him out of that misery
  2. Is God not Capable of making him equal with you in blessings
  3. Is God not Capable of putting you in that state

These questions will help you to keep your ARROGANCE at check and allow you to be HUMBLE all the time.

House, Owner & the Tenant

It seemed like an unusual walk through the village, a certain window seemed to have opened in the heart..

I passed by a house in which two people were quarreling, upon observing closely, I realized that they were fighting for the ownership of the house. What was even more surprising to me was one of them was the real owner of the house and other, the tenant> They had but little knowledge of their real positions as they both have been sharing the house from childhood. They were almost equal in strenth and appearance, I assumed this fight would go on till one of them eventually gains more power to overcome the other. I continued to walk.

After a while I passed by another house, the owner was in full control of it and was as healthy and heavy as anyone could imagine, I could not find the tenant anywhere initially. Upon inquiring I was told that tenant merely existed in a corner of the house almost as a slave and was hardly given anything to sustain his life. I assumed, they would probably never fight as the owner was well aware of his position and kept himself well maintained over the tenant, however I had a strange feeling somehow the tenant was never really going to give up.

I continued my walk and saw a third house.  The owner of the house was frail, bedridden and almost about to die. I became curious and started searching for the cruel tenant who had caused this pitiful scene. Didn’t take me long to find this giant ugly being, for sure he must have usurped almost all things which originally belonged to the owner. He was in full control of the house and there was little hope the owner would ever stand up on his feet again. But somehow I felt, even the house yearned for the owner to put up one last fight..!

You are the House in the story, your Ego the Tenant and Your Soul the Owner.

I leave you with one question, which is your house..?
